Fall Festival items needed

The annual MTCS fall festival is a highly-anticipated, fun-filled day, and is coming up in just a few weeks.  It is our largest fundraiser of the year and takes everyone working together for it to be a success.  Each class sponsors a booth and is responsible for items and providing volunteers for that booth.  Our Patrons Association has provided a fall festival checklist to help parents keep track of items that are requested.   

Book Fair to be held August 29 – September 1

We invite everyone to visit our Book Fair from 7:45 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. August 29th through September 1st.  Parents may also shop from 6:00-7:00 p.m. before attending the Patron's meeting and Open House on August 29th.  Volunteers willing to help set up or work during the book fair are asked to email Alissa Cary at alissacary@mtcscougars.org.

SCRIP News

Logan’s Roadhouse -- 2% bonus starting Saturday, August 27, 2011, through Friday, September 9, 2011. That means you can purchase the $25 Logan's Gift Card with a 10% contribution instead of the normal 8% contribution, through that time period.

Gap/Old Navy/Banana Republic -- effective Saturday, August 20, 2011, the contribution has increased to 14%.

Staples --  when you purchase a Staples Gift Card from Saturday, August 20, 2011, through Friday, September 2, 2011, your card will be be loaded with a little extra money. When you purchase the $25 gift card, the card will have a value of $26.25, and when you purchase a $100 gift card, that card will be worth $105!

Domino's Pizza – Domino’s is in the process of updating their computer systems. As a result, from Monday, August 22, 2011, through Wednesday, August 24, 2011, you will NOT be able to use the Domino's Pizza Gift Card at Domino's Pizza store locations.

Cougar football games streamed live

MTCS has officially kicked off another season of Cougar football. Everyone is encouraged to attend these games, but for those unable to do so, the games will be streamed live on www.thisiscougarfootball.com/mtcslive.html.

TIDBITS:

School pictures proofs due Tuesday, August 26
School picture proofs were placed in lockers of students in grades 7-12.  These need to be returned by Friday (8/26) to the high school office, even if a photo package is not being ordered. 

Paw Patch holds final clearance sale
The Paw Patch will be open Friday 26th from 2:00-4:00 p.m. for its final clearance sale.  Be sure not to miss all the bargains.

Spring Break Mediterranean Journey Tour meeting to be held
There will be a meeting for all interested in the Spring Break trip to Barcelona and Italy, and for all those currently enrolled, on Tuesday, August 23 in room 204 at 5:30pm.  Welcome especially students (ages 16-18) of Art, Spanish, Bible and History! 

Bowling tryouts scheduled for Tuesday, August 23
All interested students, male and female, in grades 8-12 who are interested in trying out for the MTCS bowling team are asked to pick up an expanded information sheet in the high school office. Tryouts will be starting Tuesday, August 23, and you must have had a TSSAA physical and have deposited the completed form in the office prior to trying out. Be sure to pick up an information sheet to be fully informed.
