Did you know? ... In 2011, 66% of our Advanced Placement students scored a 3+ on AP exams, 7% more than the average for the State of Tennessee. HEADLINES: Fall Festival items needed The annual MTCS fall festival is a highly-anticipated, fun-filled day, and is coming up in just a few weeks. It is our largest fundraiser of the year and takes everyone working together for it to be a success. Each class sponsors a booth and is responsible for items and providing volunteers for that booth. Our Patrons Association has provided a fall festival checklist to help parents keep track of items that are requested. Book Fair to be held August 29 – September 1 We invite everyone to visit our Book Fair from 7:45 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. August 29th through September 1st. Parents may also shop from 6:00-7:00 p.m. before attending the Patron's meeting and Open House on August 29th. Volunteers willing to help set up or work during the book fair are asked to email Alissa Cary at alissacary@mtcscougars.org. SCRIP News Logan’s Roadhouse -- 2% bonus starting Saturday, August 27, 2011, through Friday, September 9, 2011. That means you can purchase the $25 Logan's Gift Card with a 10% contribution instead of the normal 8% contribution, through that time period. Gap/Old Navy/Banana Republic -- effective Saturday, August 20, 2011, the contribution has increased to 14%. Staples -- when you purchase a Staples Gift Card from Saturday, August 20, 2011, through Friday, September 2, 2011, your card will be be loaded with a little extra money. When you purchase the $25 gift card, the card will have a value of $26.25, and when you purchase a $100 gift card, that card will be worth $105! Domino's Pizza – Domino’s is in the process of updating their computer systems. As a result, from Monday, August 22, 2011, through Wednesday, August 24, 2011, you will NOT be able to use the Domino's Pizza Gift Card at Domino's Pizza store locations. Check out our reading progress 1,084 books and 7,190,890 words – and climbing! That’s what our elementary students have accomplished with our Accelerated Reader program since the beginning of school. Cougar Spirit Store is open for business The online Cougar Spirit Store is up and running and stocked with all things Cougar. The link is posted on the home page of our website. Cougar football games streamed live MTCS has officially kicked off another season of Cougar football.
