Prospective Student Open House
MTCS will hold a Prospective Student Open House on Tuesday, April 10 at 6:00 p.m.  Please invite any who could benefit from a quality Christian education to visit us and see why MTCS is so special. 

Come celebrate our 50th year at MTCS on April 14, 2012!

1. Our preschool and elementary kids have been training for the Run Cougar Run 5k and Cougar Fun Run in school.  It is not too late to sign up--  please register at http://www.active.com/running/murfreesboro-tn/run-cougar-run-5k-and-fun-run-2012?int=29-6  OR fill out the form for the fun run at http://www.mtcscougars.org/pdf_docs/PK_Fun_Run_Registration.pdf and return it to your child’s homeroom teacher. 

2. Be sure to return to the school for the shopping bazaar and the spaghetti dinner!  Elementary and preschool kids brought home tickets to sell for the spaghetti supper, if you haven’t already, please return the tickets or your payment.  Information about the spaghetti dinner is found here:  http://www.mtcscougars.org/pdf_docs/Spaghetti_Dinner_Tix.pdf.  Need more tickets?  There are additional tickets available in the elementary or secondary offices!

Spring Banquet - May 1
Please make plans now to join us for our annual Spring Banquet.  This year’s banquet will be held on May 1, and we are excited to announce that our speaker will be Colt McCoy, quarterback for the Cleveland Browns.  Contact Debbie Hofbauer for ticket information. 

Sports physicals offered
Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance and physicians/staff from Middle Tennessee Medical Center will again offer pre-participation physicals for prospective middle and high school student athletes on Saturday, April 21, 2012.  MTCS students are scheduled for 8:30 a.m. at the TOA office on Medical Center Parkway. 

Camp Hy-Lake
The end of the school year is in sight!  And that means time for Camp Hy-Lake 2012.  Applications and fees are due by May 4.  Applications are also being accepted for adult volunteers. 

Basketball Signee
Congratulations to senior Micah Farmer, who recently signed a basketball scholarship to play for Pensacola Christian College. 

American Idol contestant
Our own Colton Dixon, MTCS Class of 2010, is still advancing in the American Idol competition.  He is now one of the top 7 contestants.  Thanks to all our students, parents, and friends who made posters to support Colton last Wednesday afternoon.  Be sure to check out the Daily News Journal article and pictures.  Remember to vote for Colton each Wednesday evening beginning at 9:00 p.m.

The Honors Anatomy class is starting a demonstration garden and needs some on the following items:  garden tools, compost, soil, and vegetable plants.  If you are interested in donating any of these items, please contact Anne Harper at anneharper@mtcscougars.org .  Thank you!

Junior Parents - please plan to attend a meeting with Debbie Mankin in the library on Tuesday, April 10th at 7:00 p.m. about preparing for your child’s Senior Year.  Your presence is vital. 

Juniors/Seniors - Lipscomb University is offering a free summer camp called 2012 Accounting Academy-July 8-11.  Experience firsthand what a future in accounting can mean for you. See HS office if interested. All forms must be received by May 4th.
