MTCS Spring Fling --- April 14, 2012

This is going to be an exciting day for MTCS. The morning will start off with our first annual 5K run and Fun Run to benefit the Middle Tennessee Christian School Patrons’ Organization, Special Kids, The Journey Home, and Matthew 25 Club. We are thrilled to invite all of our MTCS friends and family, as well as the entire running community to come to the MTCS campus on April 14, 2012 to join us for what promises to be a great run! There will be door prizes, concessions, vendors, and much more. The 5K is set to start at 7:00am with the Fun Run to follow at 8:00. You can register by going to http://www.active.com/event_detail.cfm?event_id=2008399 and searching Run Cougar Run.  Also, be sure to check out the Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Run-Cougar-Run/136123956504484.  Sponsor Forms for the run are available here.

Later in the afternoon, come back to school for the dinner and first annual Cougar Trivia Night!   The MTCS Patrons’ Association will host the trivia night on Saturday, April 14th, at MTCS. The shopping bazaar will open at 3:00, with dinner served beginning at 5:00.  The trivia contest will begin at 7:00 p.m. All proceeds support the Middle Tennessee Christian School Patrons’ Organization. Sponsor forms for the trivia night are available here.  The Patrons’ Organization exists to raise funds for MTCS, and all proceeds directly benefits students and faculty. There will be door prizes, silent auction items, and as well as exciting drawings for those in attendance.  Come have fun while supporting Middle Tennessee Christian School!  If you are interested in sponsoring a round in the trivia contest, participating as a vendor, or making a donation for the silent auction, please pick up a sheet at the elementary and high school entrances.  See you there!

Bowler of the Year Contender

Congratulations to MTCS bowler William Fraser, who finished the season with a 211.86 average, the highest average in the district, which includes all the larger schools in Rutherford County.  The next highest contender had a 200.74.  William will be competing in the State Individual Tournament, which takes place January 26-28 at Smyrna, and has been nominated for the Tennessee Bowling Proprietors Association's "Bowler of the Year".
