Haile Tournament begins Friday

The 2012 James C. Haile State Invitational Tournament, which is hosted by Middle Tennessee Christian School, will begin on Friday, January and run through January 28.  This tournament began in 1974, making it the oldest junior high state basketball tournament in Tennessee.  In 1984, the tournament was renamed to honor one of the events’ founders, Coach James C. Haile. Our junior high and Cougar Cubs teams will be participating.  MTCS action will begin Saturday as the JH girls take on Watertown at 9:00 a.m.  The Cougar Cub Girls play Watertown at 12:45 p.m.  Our Cougar Cub Boys will battle with Irving College at 7:00 p.m., and the JH Boys take on Stone Memorial at 8:15 p.m.  Cougar Cub games are played in the A.N. Miller gymnasium and JH games are played in the new gym.  Please come out and support our athletes.

Volunteers needed

MTCS is blessed to have wonderfully supportive parents who always pitch in wherever needed.  As the James C. Haile State Invitational Tournament begins this weekend, we need many volunteers to help man the gate, concession stand, and T-shirt table.  If you are able to give a couple hours of your time, please contact Carole Lamb.  Thank you in advance for you willingness to help.

MTCS will hold a Kindergarten Information Meeting on January 19 at 5:30 p.m. in the library.  This will be followed by a Prospective Student Open House at 6:00 p.m.  Please invite any who could benefit from a quality Christian education to visit us and see why MTCS is so special.
