Training for Eternity

"Train up a child in the way he should go;

and when he is old,

he will not depart from it."

Proverbs 22:6

Acceptance Information

Applicants who qualify academically are admitted on the basis of the number of vacancies in each grade level without regard to race, color, creed, national, or ethnic origin.  There is no discrimination in the administration of our educational policies, scholarships, athletics, or other school-administered programs.  The school reserves the right to refuse admission or request the withdrawal of any student who is considered disruptive or in conflict with the rules set forth by the school.

Pre-K

After receiving ALL the required information, you will be notified if there is a need for a conference with the Preschool Director and/or Principal to discuss the child's needs.  All children must be fully potty trained before admission to the program.  Based on the information received and available positions, notification of acceptance will be mailed to you as soon as possible.

Admissions Process for Pre K 3 and 4 Students

The following information provides a list of all segments of the Admissions Process for children entering MTCS Preschool.

  1. Completed application and Health History Form
  2. Include a copy of child’s birth certificate
  3. Include an original immunization record (from doctor)
  4. Submit application fee and registration fee
  5. Participate in “Here’s Look’n at You, Kid!” Day scheduled for May or July.  You will be notified of your scheduled day.

Our “Here’s Look’n at You, Kid!” visit is a period of approximately 1-1/2 hours for our preschool staff to observe your child in our preschool setting.  While your child is visiting with the teachers, the parents/guardians will meet with the Preschool Director for a brief information session.  “Here’s Look’n at You Kid!” visits will be highly beneficial in preparing for the upcoming school year, especially in regard to class placement.  All families must participate in the observational visit before acceptance will be finalized and the child admitted to our program.  Families who plan on their child attending Summer Day Camp must participate in the May observation date.  Being able to start your child either in Summer Day Camp or the regular school year is contingent upon having all paperwork and monies turned in as well as full participation in “Here’s Look’n at You, Kid!” and a positive score.

Kindergarten - 12th Grades

After receiving ALL the pertinent information, you will be notified if there is a need for a conference to discuss the student's permanent record.  The principal will determine whether or not the student will be admitted to MTCS.  Final acceptance is based upon previous school records, achievement/readiness/placement tests, date of application, and/or personal interviews with parents and children.  Based on the information received and the positions available, notification of acceptance will be mailed to you as soon as possible.
