First Bank of Murfreesboro held an art contest for first grade art classes in October.  The students drew pictures of things for which they were thankful.  The winning design was to be used for the bank's Thanksgiving card to be sent out to customers and business contacts.  Ryan Holt, in Mrs. Jennings' 1st grade had the winning design, and Sierra Van Mullen and Brandon Vaughn were runners-up. On Thursday, December 14, Mr. Chuck Lewis, bank President, paid a visit to MTCS to present a certificate, $100 savings bond, and a framed copy of the card to Ryan.  Ryan's design included a John Deere Tractor in a field, depicting his thankfulness for farmers.  Ryan's art teacher is Mrs. Donna Haley.
