Boot Camp

5th Grade

February 2007

 

The MTCS Fifth Grade just finished up their week of WWII Boot Camp. The goal of Boot Camp was to gain knowledge about WWII while also gaining respect for our veterans. Each day veterans came in and told their story. Veterans from WWII, Vietnam , Desert Storm, and Iraq gave their accounts mainly focusing on what it was like fighting for our country, how war has changed through time, and the importance of core values. They concluded the week by hosting a Veteran’s Dinner honoring all of our military who had fought for the freedoms we have today.
