"Train up a child in the way he should go;

and when he is old,

he will not depart from it."

Proverbs 22:6

ELEMENTARY HAPPENINGS

October 12, 2007

Chapel Programs

Suzanne Watson ’s 2nd graders performed the story of Rahab and the spies.  They discussed how it took a lot of courage for her to help them escape when they were in trouble.  The students also shared times when we must have courage.

Vicki Kennedy’s 2nd graders told us about King Meanness and King Kindness!  They shared ways we can be kind to each other.

Cheryl Jennings’ 1st graders reminded us about all the wonderful things that God made in His creation...and that He made it ALL!  They also reminded us to be thankful for all He has given us.

Mary Jernigan’s 1st graders reminded us about Noah and the ark.  The rain was coming down very hard on the gym ceiling on the day of the program, adding a natural effect of what it may have been like on the ark!

Teresa Richardson’s 1st graders read or quoted different verses from the Psalms.  It was a nice reminder of praising and worshiping God for who He is and what He’s done.
