ELEMENTARY HAPPENINGS

This
year, Melaine Melton and I are meeting with the 5th & 6th grade girls
and boys at the same time. She
has the 5th grade girls for guidance in a classroom while I have the 5th
grade boys for principal’s devo in my office.
We do the same for 6th grade. Then,
we swap the next week as I take the boys, and she takes the girls.
It is working out very well! There
are some special conversations we can have when we have just boys or just
girls. It is a special time
for both of us. These times
each week are some of my favorite as the MTCS elementary principal.
I absolutely love it! Various
students always give prayer requests at the end by either telling them to
me or writing them down for me. These
students take that very seriously. They
often follow-up with me later and report of how the things are going that
we prayed about earlier.
There are people in this country that seek to prohibit this kind of
setting in the future. Pray…
pray hard that these freedoms will always remain here.
The spiritual war is happening all around us.
That’s why we must arm ourselves and our children to prepare for
battle with His word. Make the
most of every opportunity.
