ELEMENTARY HAPPENINGS
April 17, 2008
Our elementary computer classes are taught by LaNita Bowman.
One of the things that they work on regularly is their keyboarding
skills. Programs are used that
are appropriate for their age level, keep their attention, and help our
young ones stay centered on those “home keys” while typing.
Some of our youngest elementary students are typing over 20 words
per minute, while some of the older ones have reached over 40 words per
minute! These are life skills
these days that will be invaluable as they get older.
Of course, they do many other fun and challenging projects and
activities that help them develop competency on the computer.
Isn’t it amazing how things have changed over the years?!?!?!
