Macaroni Quotes
Vicki
Kennedy’s 2nd graders wrote about something they would say onto sentence
strips. Then, they glued
colored macaroni on it as the quotation marks and commas.
“Remember that your commas don’t have helium in them, only your
quotation marks do,” as Mrs. Kennedy would say!
She made rain!
Carolyn Wooldridge made rain in her room this week!
Really, she did! A
little ice water in a baggie (as a cloud) over a little warm water in a
beaker (lake or ground) results in that wet stuff coming down!
The kids loved it!!!
Caterpillar
to Butterflies
Suzanne Watson’s 2nd grade students (and Mrs. Kennedy’s) are
watching the life cycles of real butterflies and ladybugs right in their
room! The stages of each are
quite amazing to behold. God
has created some really neat things!
Fact Families
Cheryl Jennings’ 1st graders had fun coming up with various fact
families using dominos and then dice.
They knew that they were to come up with two different addition and
two different subtraction facts for each pair of numbers.
The students did a great job and the concept seemed to really stick
in their brains!
