Training for Eternity

"Train up a child in the way he should go;

and when he is old,

he will not depart from it."

Proverbs 22:6

ELEMENTARY HAPPENINGS

March 20, 2008

Teresa Richardson’s 1st graders made Irish Potato Soup on St. Patrick’s Day.  It was quite yummy!

Betty Graham’s kindergarten students made papier-mâché Easter eggs!  Each student covered a balloon with glue-soaked paper into the shape of an egg and painted them beautiful spring colors after they dried.   I am sure their parents were proud of their Easter decoration that came home this week!

The 6th Grade World’s Fair was quite amazing!  Displays were filled with maps, money, interesting articles, and food samples from the country that each group of students researched.  Some were even dressed in special attire from their country.  Most all of the TK-5th grade students enjoyed “touring” the world as they visited each “country” and learned something new about it.  Dr. Joyce Rucker always does a great job facilitating this event!
