ELEMENTARY HAPPENINGS
January 20, 2012
Lady Liberty Live was a big hit! The students listened and had excellent questions for her. Some of our kindergarteners even thought she was the real deal! She certainly looked like the real Statue of Liberty...all the way from New York City. Who knew that her arm actually swayed back and forth about 5 inches in the wind?!?! The history of this gift from France was presented in a way that all of the TK-6th could grasp on their level! She complimented how well-behaved our student body was and the types of questions they presented! We DO have the BEST kids here!

Code Pink Day and Night
Remember to wear PINK on Friday, January 27, in honor of those among us who are struggling with cancer. A spaghetti benefit dinner will be held from 4:30 until 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. Cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under, and proceeds will go to help the Miller family with medical expenses as Phyllis battles breast cancer. Plyllis is the wife of Todd Miller, the MTCS secondary principal. Come on out for supper and support them! |
