DIRECTIONS
TO CROSS COUNTRY EVENTS
Red
Apple Day
Take
Hwy 96 East (not toward
Franklin
, but toward Lascassas). Pass
through Lascassas, Milton, and then over a large hill to Auburntown.
There will be a small sign on the right side of the road indicating
you are in Auburntown. There are actually three roads on the right after the
sign that will take you to
Main Street
which is where the course starts. (If you pass Dutton’s Market on the
right, you have gone too far.) The
“Start” is next to the Community Center and Volunteer Fire Department.
Drive
time: Approx. 25 minutes
Sharp
Springs
Take
I-24 (or
Murfreesboro Road
) to the Almaville Exit. Go
right (east) onto
Almaville Road
. Continue until you reach the
red light at
Weakley Lane
. Turn right onto
Weakley Lane
. Take the next right which is
Swan Drive
. Follow
Swan Drive
(it actually turns into
Espy Drive
on the sharp curve, but it is not obvious)until you see
Sharp
Springs
Park
. Parking for this course is at
the very end of Espy drive.
Drive
time: Approx. 30 minutes
Vaughn’s
Creek (Gap)
Take
I-24 to
Nashville
and exit at
Bell Road
. Turn Left (West).
Follow Bell Road through Brentwood where the name of the road changes
into Old Hickory Blvd. Continue going straight until it dead ends into Hwy
100. Turn right onto Hwy 100 and
take the first right.
Drive
time: Approx. 1 hour
Steeplechase
Same
as above- approximately ˝-1 mile before you get to Hwy 100.
You will pass the golf course on the right, and then Steeplechase
will be next on the right.
