Take
Hwy East 96 past Lascassas, Milton, and Auburntown, until you come to the
stop signs at Hwy 70.
Turn right onto Hwy 70 toward Smithville.
You will pass through Smithville and remain on this road straight into Sparta.
Once in
Sparta, proceed all the way to the old downtown area. The easiest way to
tell is that there’s a noticeable valley or depression (possibly a
creekbed) just before you come to the downtown area.
At the top of
the hill past this depression there is a red light. Here you will
take a left onto Hwy 84. (the road is marked Hwy 84 on the map, and might
also be called North Main St).
Stay on this road for approximately ¼ mile and make a right onto
E. Everett St.
Follow this street straight up the hill to the site of the old
high school. Only the old gym remains. You will bear to the
left at the top of the hill onto a road marked as High School St.
on the map, Once on this road, the parking lot for the soccer field will
come into view.
