Elementary Chorus
Choral News
On Friday, April 4, 2008, the Elementary Chorus
participated in the Rutherford County Choral Festival at
Blackman
Middle School
. Other schools involved included Blackman, Kittrell, and Buchanan. Each
of the choruses performed one piece by themselves and then five pieces as
a combined group. The MTCS Chorus did a great job singing both their
individual piece and with the group. Way to go Chorus!

McKnight, Jenna Mullen, Erin Mullins, Reed Todd, Caroline Ward, Erin
Jennings, Kelsey Lester, Carl Mathis, Clay Mitchell, Kayla Pickard, Kufre
Udofia, Elizabeth Woodruff, Katie Farmer, Oakley Starling, Dylan Townes.
On Saturday, April 5, 2008, a group of MTCS Choral
students participated in the Middle Tennessee Solo and Ensemble Festival
sponsored by the Middle Tennessee Vocal Association. At this festival
students sing for a judge hired for the event by the MTVA, and their
performances are rated using specific criteria. Every one of our students
achieved a score of
Superior
and received medals for their performances! Jenna Mullen and Sarah Wells,
Rachel E. Haley and Reed Todd, Katie Farmer and Elizabeth Woodruff, and
Elizabeth Woodruff and Marianna Woodruff performed duets. Blakley Pond and
Elizabeth Shearon performed solos.
