Junior
High Chorus
The
Junior High Chorus consists of 7th and 8th graders that meet every Tuesday
and Thursday, and every other Friday.
The chorus participates in multiple performances throughout the
year, including: Middle School Mass Choir, Fall for Music Concert,
Veterans’ Day Program, Notes for the Holiday, Goodpasture Christian
Choral Festival, and the Elem./Jr High Choral Concert.
The
students may also choose to participate in the Solo/Ensemble Festival
and/or audition for the Middle School Honor Choir.
High School Chorus
The
High School Chorus consists of 9th through 12th graders that meet every
day. The chorus participates
in multiple performances throughout the year, including: Harding Christian
Choral Festival, Lipscomb Christian Choral Festival, Steak Dinner,
Veterans’ Day Program, Notes for the Holiday, and Graduation.
The chorus also travels to local congregations on select Sunday
nights as part of their “Spring Tour.”
The Spring Tour lasts from March until the beginning of May.
Students
may also choose to participate in the Solo/Ensemble Festival, audition for
the Mid-State Honors Choir, and audition for the All-State Honors Choir.
Every
September, the director selects deserving choral students to participate
in the MTSU Honors Chorus.
Mr.
Shawn Frazier -- Shawn Frazier directs the Junior High and High School
Choruses. Mr. Frazier also
teaches 3rd Grade General Music, 4th Grade General Music, Junior High
General Music, and assists with the 5th/6th Grade Bands and Chorus.
Mr. Frazier graduated from
Harding
University
with a degree in Vocal Music Education, and is currently working on a
Masters degree in Conducting at
Middle
Tennessee
State
University
