JAMES C. HAILE
STATE INVITATIONAL TOURNAMENT
The
2008 James C. Haile State Invitational Tournament, which is hosted by Middle
Tennessee Christian School, was held January 19-February 2, 2008.
This tournament began in 1974, making it the oldest junior high state
basketball tournament in Tennessee. In
1984, the tournament was renamed to honor one of the events’ founders, Coach
James C. Haile.
Sixty-four
teams competed in the 2008 tournament in three divisions: A, AA, AAA,
boys and girls. Congratulations to the
winning teams of Crab Orchard, Celina, Southside, Rickman, Cleveland, and Avery
Trace and to those athletes who made the All-Tournament
Team.
