The junior high school
curriculum is designed to provide a transition from elementary school to
high school. Through challenging studies, students are encouraged to
develop their skills in research, communications, critical thinking and
analysis, time management, and self-discipline. Many seventh graders actively participate in Duke University's Talent In Progress Program every year, with
several receiving state recognition. Seventh and eighth grade students take Explore Test, the practice test for junior high students for ACT.
