and when he is old,

he will not depart from it."

  • In 2007, our kindergartners scored in the top 14% of the nation in Pre-Reading Skills on the Metropolitan Readiness Test.  In math, their scores were in the top 21% of the nation.  These scores indicate that our kindergarten program is one of the top programs in our nation at preparing youngsters for first grade.

  • Scores on standardized achievement tests taken in grades K-8 indicate that our students consistently score around the 77th percentile, which means they are in the top 23% of the nation.

  • 82% of our fourth and fifth graders from the 2006-2007 school year qualified for the Duke University's Talent in Progress (TIP) talent search for fourth and fifth graders by scoring at or above the 90th percentile (top 10% nationwide) on the Higher Order Thinking sections of the Stanford Achievement Test.  This program is designed to identify gifted students and motivate them toward future successes.

  • 50% of our sixth graders from the 2006-2007 school year qualified for the Duke Talent in Progress (TIP) test by scoring in the 95th percentile (top 5% nationwide) or higher on their Stanford Achievement Test.  In 2007, 6 of our 10 students who took the test received state recognition at Vanderbilt University for their exceptionally high scores on the Duke TIP test.
